It happens to the best of us. One minute you’re drafting a message to your boss, a client… maybe even your mom, and, poof! Your cat walks across the keyboard and sends your unfinished email.

It’ll be okay!

If you’re a Gmail user, there’s a handy feature that will allow you to recall an email before the recipient gets it. I just installed it for my own email and thought it’d be useful to share with you, too. Here’s how to enable it, right now:

  1. Login to Gmail.
  2. Click on the gear icon on the top right and click Settings.
  3. Checkmark “Enable Undo Send” and choose the number of seconds you want to have to make your decision.
  4. The next time you accidentally send an email, click “Undo” in the yellow ribbon at the top of the screen.

It really is that simple!
